My area of study was the ‘Social Mobility of Ethnic Minorities in the Netherlands; The Peculiarities of Social Class and Ethnicity’.

My general labour experience in the Netherlands ranges from musician/composer to the present function of business owner, consultant/advisor. My present professional career begun in 1989 with a function as scientific researcher at a research institution in Utrecht, which specialized in role of migrants and also their organisations in the Dutch society. Later I worked as director of a welfare organisation in city of Rotterdam for nine years. There I was able to initiate and assist in the coming into being of various policies and projects geared at the self-sufficiency of migrants, especially those with an Antillean and Aruban cultural background. I left this position in 2000 and went on to work in the commercial sector, as manager of strategy, marketing and innovation at an organisation and advice agency, which specialized in the management of diversity. During the many years of being closely attached and committed to the concept of managing diversity, it became clear that organisations flourish when the utmost effort is undertaken to get the best out of every person involved with the production process and the creation of results. It was due to my various experiences with satisfied clients and business associates that I decided to launch Ace Advies in 2002.
